HAPPY NEW YEAR

2022 has ended and we have entered 2023. I know it's not a big deal, every year passes and a new year comes. However, every time calendar changes, we fill ourselves with excitement that the rising sun of new year illuminates our lives and brings the changes we hope for. A father hopes for his children to get settled, A mother hopes for her daughter to become self dependent! A working adult hopes for increments or promotion, A working woman prays for equality in the promotion! An unemployed hopes to get a job, A child just wants more time to play with a ball( just for rhyming)! A housewife hopes a new year gives her respect she deserves, An old couple hopes for affection they rightfully deserve! A homeless prays for home, The rich hopes for everything to be owned! The destitute hopes for life to be less miserable, A diseased person prays for strength to make it bearable! A girl hopes for the roads to be safer And having liberty to be a change maker! A gender fluid hopes

Maa-Paa❤

Mother, favourite muse of every creator, Everyone has written much better, What can i add on further! But that's the beauty of mother, Every child can express love for her! Maa, you are home maker, my teacher, my doctor, You have cure of my every hassle! You work round the clock , But whenever i am dismal You have all the time to cheer me up! You are the most selfless person in the world Expect nothing in return, Just wishes for the life of your children to be non miserable! Papa, you always complain that i talk to mumma more! So in my defence, Papa, we don't talk much, But our hearts remain in touch! Whenever things go wrong Your presence is enough to make me strong! When i decided to leave dentistry You supported me wholeheartedly Because you just want your children to be happy No matter how difficult it is to deal with the norms of society! Papa, you are the rock That shields me from every shock!

DREAMS

Hey peeps, i am back! I don't know if you guys were waiting for my blogs or not but i had been missing writing them.   I never thought that what i started as a hobby in lockdown would have become my identity in my post graduation college. So, a few lines for the college and the city! TISS MUMBAI The sea on one side Buildings on the other In between, the people, traffic and their dreams! I landed here a few days before In the college i aspired for! Having a tree as a logo Justify its motto Of sheltering the diversity In the times of regional and communal adversity! Everyone says the time you spend in TISS It will be remembered for the time till you live! And i started realising this The moment i entered TISS! Because the inclusiveness in its vibe Drives you through all the chaos and crisis! And when i am talking about chaos How can i not mention the city! Where despite all the difficulties People come to live their dreams! They say this city never sleeps It

Big Brother

Just wrote my thoughts in an intermittent way  Muse: My Brother💜 You are an achiever You are a struggler But struggles made you stronger And you know it! You are an exemplar You are an inspiration, So now it's your turn to get inspired by yourself Because when you know your worth No one can make you feel worthless! If you don't get what you deserve Don't blame yourself Instead make the most of it what you have Because what you achieved is not everyone's cup of tea! Don't focus on people लोगों का काम है कहना! Everyone can't have wider perspectives And you can't teach everyone! You are the brightest star No one can ever dim the light you carry inside, Remember it always! You are the hero of your story Everyone is! You just have to realise it Because no one gonna tell you that! You are the only one who is responsible for your happiness So don't expect from others and do whatever makes you happy! Don't let circumstances overpo

Bid Adieu 2021

2021 has come to an end. Let's have a quick recap of all the events that happened in 2021 in a sequential manner starting from January, then February and so on. It sounds familiar, isn't it? Yeah this is a trending reel and i am sure most of you would have already started humming that song in your mind. So let's start and don't expect it to be an 'Everything is fine' ride. January - •A comedian was arrested for an imaginary joke because some people think that they have 'Right to get offended by a specific community or religion'. Do i have to tell his name? I don't think so . •It has been 3 months since farmers are protesting against farm laws and staying at Tikri border inspite of the Delhi's chilled winters and government atrocities. •Vaccination drive has been started for healthcare workers, frontline warriors and people over 50 years of age. February- •A 22 year old climate activist Disha ravi was arrested for criminal conspiracy and se

Action Speaks!

My first ever muse was my sister And today it's her daughter! When she is in our arms She wanna fly! When she is on the floor She wanna swim! Indeed, her limits are beyond the sky. Whenever we meet her We want to hold in our arms Not wanna let her go! But she is a bird, a free bird Who can't be confined in the walls. When we talk She involves herself in the chit-chat Listens carefully And gives input in indecipherable words Implying ' Every voice matters'! Infants tend to sleep more But she is peculiar She doesn't sleep, Seems she knows 'Being different is the new normal .'

The Diary of a Mother

6th Sep 2021- Kimaya❤Maa-Paa Last time when i wrote was her 6 months birthday. Today half a month has been added to her age. I am glad that i started penning diary, otherwise with time memories fade away. So before writing, i turned over the pages and cherished the moments the diary has encapsulated in itself. It was absolutely enraptured. Coming back to the present, today's diary is not about a day or an event. It is about the process which has eventually taken a shape. It would be misleading if i say she has JUST started recognizing us because that has been happening for a couple of months. Now besides recognition, she has begun expressing her love towards us. Whenever she perceives that we are near to her, she turns her head to catch our glimpse and tries to jump out of others' lap. Her eyes start twinkling, face beams with vivacity and lips move apart showing her tiny teeth. It is just mesmerizing. Though it makes things tough at times as she wants one of us always aroun

Rhythm of Love

I am LEVITATING INTO YOUR ARMS! It's so fascinating, I can't stop gushing, Over your charm! I know it sounds cheesy, But WHENEVER WHEREVER i look at you, The sun gets hazy The day gets breezy My hair gets frizzy,  In a nutshell you drive me crazy! So I just wanna say, I will STAY,  Not gonna let you turn gray, Grooving together on MANIKE MAGE HITHE! P.S.- While everyone is making reels/shorts on the songs, i use them to write my blog😋

The Diary of a Mother

22nd August 2021- From Carrying to Caring   In July 2020, i got to know about my pregnancy. Everyone was elated and started suggesting child's name. It seems funny but i think unofficial naming ritual is the mandatory step to begin celebrations. So we were done with the name and decided 'chiku' for a boy and 'kiwi' for a girl. Then the actual phase of pregnancy began. My day used to start with dizziness, nausea and ended with the same. Gradually pregnancy related complications had started to worsen. I got rashes, blood pressure was elevated, my weight was increasing and every possible thing that could happen had befallen me. I couldn't even sleep peacefully but whenever the child kicked or moved inside, my whole difficulties and pain just vanished. I used to wait for the day when we went to hospital for sonography and observed my child moving and enjoying. It was so satisfying sight to behold that made my all sufferings worthy. After a 9 months' cycle of d

GRATITUDE- a Newborn's version

When i sleep beside you,  I sleep the deepest!  When i feel hungry,  My eyes search for you impatiently!   When i play,  I espy you beholding my activities attentively! When i wake up at midnight, You feed me uncomplainingly!  When i cry,  I find your arms holding me tightly!  When you call me,  A radiant smile flashes on my face instantly! When i fail to spot you nearby,  I feel like crying incessantly!  Maa, with you  I feel the safest! Contd.... P.S- Things will be added as the newborn gets older!

12th April- Brother💜Sister It has been a long time since i have interacted with my diary. Maintaining a diary is surely not a cakewalk. It is an uneath task that requires commitment and consistency. As of now i am back with my pen and diary has been opened, ink is ready to flow on the page. Since morning, statuses were being updated, relatives were calling, delicacies were being prepared and our boy, Kanha had been in celebratory mood. It was quite obvious as today is his birthday. He is Kimaya's cousin and had been very excited to celebrate his birthday with her and in his words, 'his real sister' . Indeed, children are an epitome of pure love. In the evening we decorated the room with colourful balloons and candles. Birthday boy and his newborn sister had been dressed in lovely outfits gifted by his nani maa. Cake cutting ceremony was organised, yummy food was served and pictures were clicked. Life is hard but we shouldn't forget to cherish these little moments

The Diary of a Mother

27th March- Back to Normal It has been a month and 3 days since she has entered in our life and we thank God everyday for the precious gift he has bestowed on us.  The first year of a child is very crucial as it is the phase when maximum development takes place, be it physical or mental. So a child needs your 24×7 care and attention. I am lucky to have kind- hearted and caring in-laws who looked after her when i had to lay on bed for day and night. But as i have been recovering well by God's grace and everyone's blessings, i am now able to do some daily chores for Kimaya. We have also started to go out for evening walk to preserve 'us' time. It is quite essential so that your relationship doesn't get preoccupied by child's birth.  Tommorow is Holi, so her mamu and maasi have come to pay Holi greetings. Her chachu is also here. Pictures are being clicked as per ritual😄  Indeed a good day it is! Written by: Maa❤ Edited by: Maasi❤

ANIMAL FARM

Hey folks! Welcome to 'IN MY MIND' Literature Festival. I am your host. Today we have renowned personality(P) with us (who is in my mind) . So let's begin with Q and A round, I hope you will enjoy it! Host(H): Let's start with your favourite book 'Animal Farm'. So which character inspires you the most? P: I would say Napoleon. The way he lead the movement and gradually swept away Snowball,( his ally and critic as well) is astounding. H: Who do you think help Napoleon the most to take over the charge of 'Animal Farm'? P: Indubitably Squealer, H:(obviously) he was persuasive, could turn black into white, manipulated figures and convinced everyone that Napoleon was the sole reason of every successful achievement and every stroke of good fortune. Even the taste of water was credited to him. So you can estimate his brilliant talking. I am myself a good orator and i can act as well, but there should be more like Squealer who can make my work easie

21st March- Nani's home🏡 Today we are going to Kimaya's nani maa's home. I have dressed her in a pretty frock gifted by her bua and we are all set to visit her granny.  As she has stepped out for the very first time, we are going to temple first to take Banke Bihari's blessings. Now we are heading towards my home. Today we have come to visit mommy because she has been severely injured by monkey and is going through extreme pain. But after seeing kimaya, she is much relieved. A radiant smile has flashed on her face and she is happily playing with her. I feel glad to be a part of mumma's happiness. And as usual mamu is capturing all her activities in camera and making her first visit to nani's home memorable for good reasons only! Written by: Maa❤ Edited by: Maasi❤

THE DIARY OF A MOTHER

Image
11th March 2021- Papa ❤ Kimaya Feeling of becoming father is ethereal. Someone has rightly said "No other love in the world is like the love of a father for his little girl." Whenever he holds her or kisses her, there is a pleased smile on his face. The person who never sacrifices his sleep, awakes willingly at her small cry at midnight. He enjoys when she sleeps on his stomach. I remember the day when Kimaya had been vaccinated, she cried whole night and it was the first time i saw him crying. It was soul stirring moment.  These small gestures are priceless and show love at its best. Wis she is like DIVINITY who vanishes all his worries. "A father holds his daughter's hand for a while but he holds her heart forever " Stay tuned for more heartwarming moments! Written by: Maa❤ Edited by: Maasi❤

MOTHER'S DAY SPECIAL 7th march 2021- Namakaran Sanskar 7th March, the day of her Namakaran Sanskar. Though we have already named her but from now she'll be officially 'Kimaya'. For her special day she is wearing a new dress which is gifted by her nani maa. She is looking like an angel and i can't take my eyes off. Whenever i look at her, i promise to myself to give her everything she deserves. Certainly a child is apple of her mother's eye. She is the only one who happily sacrifices her nights, days and life for her child and it can be felt only when you become a mother. As today she has been named, it is a beginning of her new journey. She will now be introduced to the world and it's my responsibility  to make her strong, well prepared for every hurdle and a fighter for her rights. Joey once said "There is no selfless deed in this world."  I think he forgot to consider mother. As today is mother's day, salute to all the mothers who selflessly

23rd Feb 2021- First Day The first photo session of our baby girl was done by her mamu, the person who loves to capture moments. He is eagerly waiting for her to be grown up as he is now bored to photograph the same people for years When everyone was beholding the newborn activities, i was lying on hospital bed, surviving on injections, bottles and medicines. I was not even able to catch her glimpse, hold her in my arms, feel the life form i had given birth to. But the thing that derived me to tolerate the pain and discomfort was this bundle of joy. I was zealously waiting for the day when i can hold her in my arms and feed her. Oh.. i forgot to mention one silly creature who got mad after seeing her, one and only her maasi  She used to take her in lap and attentively looking at her all the time.  Indeed the birth of a child is nothing but a miracle. THE DIARY OF A MOTHER

22nd Feb 2021- BIRTH DAY Finally the day arrived we had been waiting for. It was started with my water breaking at 6am. We rushed to hospital. Mild contractions had also begun so we decided to wait for vaginal delivery. But God had other plans. After 10 hours of waiting we had to give nod for cesarean section. After all we couldn't put our child's life at risk. I went to operation  theatre and was lying on table where i heard a doctor saying 'arey ye to susu kr ri h' and after that i became unconscious. Nurse announced the birth of a baby girl to my family. I don't know about their instant reaction but today i can surely say  that she is 'jaan' of everyone. So this is about her birth day, the beginning of 'The Diary of a Mother'. Stay tuned  for another day from a mother's diary. Written by: Maa❤ Edited by: Maasi❤

COVID19 2020 v/s 2021

From silence on roads to silence in HEARTS! From 50000 to 3 lakh cases per day! From walk for home to run for HOSPITALS From various cuisines on table to crying for OXYGEN! From a line outside liquor shop to a line for CREMATORIUM  From instagram challenges to posts for HELP! From गमछा to 3 layered mask! From moderate situation to FRIGHTENING one! But some things are still the same. From no data on economic and employment status to no data on COVID19 deaths! From no arrangements for migrant workers to no availability of oxygen cylinders, beds and ventilators! From unplanned lockdown to irresponsible election rallies! 2020, the most ominous year till the 2021 didn't arrive. Today we are in 2021 and none has dared to declare this year the worst.

Nature Quotes

Sun is bright in the sky, Are you bright from inside? Breeze is here to calm the weather, Who do you have to calm your hassle? Moon in the night is to bless your eyes, Is there anyone who is the apple of your eye? Rain falls to fix cracks in the earth, Do you have one who fix you when you are in dearth?    Oasis in the desert is a ray of hope, Whom do you consider your ray of hope?

Worldly things

You are not brainy Unless you have money! You can't get even honey With pocket having penny! Adding to your misery The face being ugly, Making hard to live you happily! I will be called grumpy, To complain about things That are petty, When corona is engulfing our society! But corona being temporary, These issues have been plaguing our society since eternity, Dragging people into anxiety, Only weening about things related to monetary, Keeping them away from tranquility!

Democracy Blindfolded

A very old idol of Devi Annapoorna is returning to India from Canada. It is indubitably a proud moment for all of us. But is it not a irony that the people who are responsible for food in our plates( the real Annapoornas) , are on roads and are not allowed to enter Delhi, water cannons and tear gas are being used to disperse them. Isn't it their right to protest? Can't they express their dissent to the government?  If the farm laws are in favour of farmers then it is government's responsibility to assure farmers of new rights and opportunities which will be provided by these laws. But unfortunately government is trying to suppress the movement instead of hearing their plight and concerns and clearing their doubts. Lack of communication between people and government is not good for democracy because democratic government is of the people, by the people and for the people. To make the matter worse, protestors are being tagged as anti national by public and media as if t

DESIRE

Empty streets, trees for shade You have miles to walk straight! People are considerate With their measurements accurate😛 Serenity in the space Without any rat-race! My kind of happy place That the demon  hates! To know the demon, click below⬇️

MANN ki BAAT

Q: Any count of migrant workers? PM: Who cares? Q: How many MSMEs got shut down? PM: You keep your mouth shut! Q: Any data of health workers who died while serving the people amid this pandemic? PM: Why do you wanna know? Just take a chill pill man!! Q: When will economy start to recover? PM: God knows! After all it's an Act of GOD! Q: What are you doing to mitigate common people's suffering? PM: We are committed to AAM( Ambani, Adani, Modi) आदमी betterment! Q: There are signs of increase in inequalities in society due to ongoing crisis. Any comments! PM: Try to be happy in others' success. Q: Millions of people are unemployed. What steps are taken by government? PM: We are planning to start Central Vista project and it will create employment opportunities for sure!! (after all people are required to build it) Just a hypothetical interview i imagined and it will remain to be. Because our beloved PM has not been addressed press conferences since his tenure star

Digital Divide

Education, a medium to fill up the differences in society and to give new perspectives to people's mindsets. Education, a way to achieve equality and to end prejudices against the vulnerables. Education that leads a nation on the path of progress and prosperity. Presently, the whole world is struggling to combat the impact of ongoing pandemic on every aspects of life. But if we talk about its future implications, the void created in the education sector will have major consequences, because the prolonged closure of schools & institutions is affecting the equal accessibility of educational reach to children. According to recent NSO Report on Education, only 24% of households have internet access in which rural households have merely 4% accessibility. It indicates that there is huge digital divide. Students who have ease of access to internet will go ahead of the students who are deprived of internet facilities. Although a colossal gap already exists in the quality of education

ACT OF GOD

From the silence on roads to the noise of vehicles, from clear blue sky to the dark gray clouds, from isolated to socialising with rules, from lockdown to Unlock 4.0, people have moved on. But this pandemic has turned people's lives upside down. 50-60,000 Corona cases are being daily reported, 18.9 million people have lost their jobs, Large number of small businesses are on verge of collapse, Sharp fall in consumption, Disinvestment in government assets, No or poor digital connectivity to significant number of students, -23.9% GDP in first quarter of FY20-21 A few things are mentioned here, the reality is far more worse. But is it only an ACT OF GOD or government's way to free itself from the responsibility? For that, just look at some data of last years; GDP growth rate trends: 8.3% in 2016-17 to 7% in 2017-18, 6.1% in 2018-19, 4.2% in 2019-20, Irregularities in paying GST compensation to States for last one year shows that Indian economy is not in healthy conditi

PHOTOGRAPH

19th August, World Photography Day, the day to appreciate the art of photography and the significance of photographs in our life. Photograph, a window to catch a glimpse of your past, A door, leading your way to relive the past! A souvenir of the moments you lived, A sea of flashbacks you are diving in! Each photograph tells a story, Which is audible to its characters only! Some are posed, some are candid, Focal is, the moment it seized! It has been on a long journey, From black and white to coloured, From reel camera to digital ones! But it has never lost the track, The magic is still intact, Making it everyone's dearest!

Demon

A demon residing inside a body, Don't let it live like everybody! Sucking every drop of its blood, Dragging it down in a pool of mud! As much it tries to elude, The more it is glued! Each cell is pleading for help, But he is determined to turn it into ash! Whatever it intakes, Makes the body blake, Its mental peace is at stake ! Despite tried everything insane, All went in vain! It seems cranky to the world, As it is difficult to explain them an invisible, invincible trouble!

DEPRESSION

Person suffering from depression, Sitting idle with no expressions, Drowning himself into dejection! Why is he in this situation? It is a real question, That must be taken into consideration! Is it about expectations? Or inability to cope up with adverse conditions? Albeit everyone goes through depression, But no one talks about it because of hesitation, As mental illness is still a taboo in our nation. But there is dire need of communication, To open up about emotions, To stop the turbulence in the ocean! It is a way to take him out of depression, Or at the least, Make him brave to face tides in the ocean!!

DIVERSITY

Color makes everything lively but human skin colour is an exception, it can take someone's life . There is a history of prejudice, discrimination over race, caste, color, creed, religion, sex and all possible categories people can think of. But why is it so? Why does human hate another human? Human species is created after so many evolutions, does nature invest so much in us just to spread hatred, violence? Indubitably, human is superior to other species, he has conscience, he has language to express, he can use his mind to innovate and create, he is aware of his surroundings and has maximum adaptability. But this superiority makes human arrogant, selfish, callous and insensitive to others. When nature has created us as one species, who are we to discriminate people on the basis of their phenotypes or genotypes? If we all have same qualities, aesthetics, thoughts or beliefs, life would have become monotonous. As we are able to think logically and have conscience, we sho

SERENITY

Appreciation comes with a sense of responsibility, You can't take things lightly. You have to go with certain pace, As of now, People are following your page (it is little exaggerated as i have to keep up with cadence😛), You shouldn't make them wait. But sometimes you are going through a phase, When there is nothing in your brain. But I guess brain is not at any fault, It is me who is not able to direct thoughts, Along a desired course. Then my father comes as a source of light, Who is a devoted follower of Vipassana course. It is a technique to know yourself from core, A process to make your heart pure. It teaches you to remain in equanimity whether the situation is good or worse. But why am i discussing it in this converse? Because it is important to be in serenity to enable your mind to work, To organise thoughts to create an artwork, And it is possible when you are the master of your mind. Though Vipassana is not just about concentration, It is about

MIRAGE

The migrant workers, Our house makers, product makers, Those who make possible the existence of manufacturers, Presently clueless about their futures. But what they know, They have to reach their homes at any cost! Scorching heat can't stop them to take extreme measures, They are walking thousands of kilometers with their children, Devoid of money, food, water and shelter, They are dying of hunger! Their pain is unbearable, Words cannot express their dismal. Government has taken some steps to lessen their troubles, But upto what extent these are helping workers? Train fares are so high, they are not able to buy the tickets, And if they, unable to get on it. And some trains are running so late, People are dying of hunger in trains. Then what difference it makes? Is there any cure for their pains? . . . Ohh! I remember, Prime minister has announced economic relief package of 20 lakh crores(10% of GDP), And held 5 days marathon to unbox this package. So, wh

LOVE

A familiar creature Who is nutso about apparel, Never pleased with her attire, Whether her wardrobe is full of different textures, So annoying character! Weddings intensify this trouble And proves to be torture when it is hers! She wants new one for every function, But somewhere in her heart, She craves for a dress of her mother, May be she loves traditional, Or, as she is going far away from her, She wants to feel her essence Of all the years she has spent with her, Nothing can beat the sanctity of this gesture, As it becomes her best souvenir, That reminds of her mother!

The UNAPPRECIATED WORKFORCE

Hey folks! How's your life going? I know it is crime to ask this amid lockdown😛 but i hope you all are doing good. Well, everyone is fighting with this pandemic in their own way. But some are in the battleground facing the enemy directly to protect us. We owe them a lot and we'll never be able to repay them. But there are other sections in the society as well who are also doing significant work yet they are less acknowledged. Who are they? who are also working from the first day, Any guesses!! I'll tell you anyway, They are bankers, quarantine centers workers, essential commodities providers and some who have not been recognized till today! Let's talk about Bankers, who are responsible for the circulation of currency in market. Deal with a huge number of customers everyday! They handle cash and provide it to needy, Having risk of getting infected, still doing this selflessly, That too endlessly! Now, come to the quarantine centers workers, i don't

The Bleak Verse

Wanna write something , But brain says you have nothing, seems it is maintaining social distancing  With my pen and musing! It is alarming  Making my blog boring, I have just started, can't afford it!! How to make it interesting , I need contemplating! What can i do, what can i do? Nothing is new I am screwed! Life is left with no hue, Yet we can go through! What about those, Who are still on roads Having no abode Their trust is eroded,  Schemes that are quoted  Are just sugar coated!! I think Human is wearing a blind folded, As he can't see what is being promoted!!

LIFE

Life, a series of unfolded, unforeseeable and erratic episodes. Each episode can give u goosebumps, still u wait for another one, that's the magic of life. If u know the climax of any series, u loose the charm to watch it, same happens with life. The thrill of life exists in its uncertainty. U can't plan all the things. More or less u have to leave it to destiny. People say they don't believe in fate but consciously or unconsciously , they r somewhat product of their destinies. Undoubtedly , life is a mystery and it can only be solved by ur intuition or instinct and it is where u have to believe in yourself and God. And that is how life goes on. We all find more pleasure in listening radio as we r unaware of upcoming songs. Life is exactly the same, u never know, what happens next!! Yet it is only one side of coin. Life is about balancing both sides. U have to make plans for a settled life while sustaining its mysterious aspect.

MEMORIES: The IRRFAN Saga

MEMORIES, take us to the paths we have once crossed, make us travel to the time we cherish or to the time we despise. Memories are something that we can't efface from our core self. These r our spare time muse, make us laugh or woeful and presently we better understand it. The way of recalling memories gives u the insight into a person's outlook towards life. Some like to remember lovely ones and some are stuck to horrendous ones. Some episodes of life where brain ask," how long do i have to remember it?" N u willingly said,"Remember it always!!" But life doesn't always give u lemonade. There r such memories u just want to erase as if never happened.  Life is a race, everyone wants to run ahead of time and amidst this, we tend to forget things if there is nobody to tell them as person recollects only extreme ones that give him utter elation or desolation. But life exists between these extremes i.e. modest memories where one can be hopeful and see light a
